In-School Programs

Services under the In-School Program are currently provided through sub-contracts with the Hampton and Newport News School divisions. Students between the ages of 14-21 may apply for WIA services through the in school programs. The purpose of the In School program is to assist students graduate from high school and prepare them for post-secondary education, employment or advanced training. To accomplish those goals each school division has tailored programs to best serve their students. While specific programs vary between divisions, core programs include academic remediation, after school tutoring and summer career development activities

To enroll in any of the above services students must meet all WIA eligibility requirements.
