Virginia Junior Academy of Science

The Governor’s School is pleased to participate in the Virginia Junior Academy of Science. The VJAS serves as an effective organization to advance science in grades 7 through 12. The VJAS encourages students to pursue scientific research investigations. Upon acceptance NHGS students typically present their completed mentorship research at the annual VJAS conference, held in May. Students can compete for awards at the annual VJAS conference. The VJAS provides a means for students to meet others of similar ages, intents, and ambitions from the Commonwealth of Virginia.
