Apprenticeship at a Glance

The Center for Apprenticeship and Adult Training is a state approved provider of apprenticeship training. The related instruction obtained at the Center is approved by the Virginia Community College System. (VCCS)

Trade apprenticeships could be as little as 18 months as with cosmetology and barbering, or as much as 4 years as with electricians and plumbers.

Many of the related instruction courses are articulated with Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) and students can receive college credit for their training received at the Center. All related instruction at the Center is transferable to other approved providers in the state of Virginia.
